Christina Mavridou was born in 2007 in Thessaloniki, Greece.
She started her violin studies at the age of five and three years later (2015) she was accepted at the Thessaloniki State Conservatory (TSC) with excellent reviews, and in June of 2024 she graduated from TSC with perfect score 10 and 1st prize under the guidance of her professor Yannis Kormpetis. Since the age of seven she has been composing music, some of which has been performed by the orchestras and ensembles. In 2025, she began her Bachelor studies at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) under Andreas Janke.
Christina is a member of the European Union Youth Orchestra (EUYO), the Greek Youth Symphony Orchestra (GYSO), the Orchestre Visionnaire, the Thessaloniki State Conservatory Symphony Orchestra, MOYSA, and Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra Young. She has performed in major venues and festivals such as the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Grafenegg Wolkentrum, the Konzerthaus in Berlin, Stadttheater Bozen in Bolzano, the Romanian Athenaeum, the Mozarteum’s Wiener Saal, the Athens and Thessaloniki Concert Halls and among others.
Christina made her solo debut at the age of 10 with the Thessaloniki City Symphony Orchestra at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall, returning as a soloist again two years later (aged 12). She has performed with the Thessaloniki State Conservatory Orchestra at the age of 16, and in October 2024 she appeared again as a soloist in Weimar, Germany, at the Stadtkirche St. Peter und Paul (aged 17). Over the years, she has been recognized with awards in several national and international competitions.
In 2021 she was selected by Maxim Vengerov to play in his masterclass, and she has also participated in masterclasses by Daniel Hope, Ingolf Turban, Ulf Hoelscher, Kirill Troussov, Noe Inui, Sibbi Bernhardsson, Almita Vamos, Ben Sayevich, Georgios Demertzis among others.
She has taken part in Lefkas Music Week Summer Festival (Greece), in the Holzhauser-Musiktage (Germany) and the SIMA- Youth Classics (Switzerland). In addition, she was also accepted with scholarship at the Meadowmount School of Music in the USA and studied with Janet Sung. In the summer of 2024, she was accepted with scholarship in AIMS Festival in Spain and studied with Simone Zgraggen. In addition, she has received scholarship from the Foundation for Education and European Culture (IPEP). She is awarded a 2-year loan of a fine French Bernardel violin, made in 1852, through the Swiss Instrument Fund.
Η Χριστίνα Μαυρίδου γεννήθηκε το 2007 στη Θεσσαλονίκη.
Ξεκίνησε τις σπουδές της στο βιολί σε ηλικία πέντε ετών και, τρία χρόνια αργότερα, το 2015, έγινε δεκτή στο Κρατικό Ωδείο Θεσσαλονίκης (ΚΩΘ) με εξαιρετικές κριτικές. Τον Ιούνιο του 2024 ολοκλήρωσε τις σπουδές της στο ΚΩΘ με βαθμό 10 και Α΄ Βραβείο, υπό την καθοδήγηση του καθηγητή της Γιάννη Κορμπέτη.
Από την ηλικία των επτά ετών ασχολείται και με τη σύνθεση μουσικής, έργα της οποίας έχουν παρουσιαστεί από ορχήστρες και μουσικά σύνολα. Το 2025 ξεκίνησε τις σπουδές Bachelor στο Πανεπιστήμιο Τεχνών της Ζυρίχης (ZHdK), στην τάξη του Andreas Janke.
Η Χριστίνα είναι μέλος της Ευρωπαϊκής Ορχήστρας Νέων (EUYO), της Ελληνικής Συμφωνικής Ορχήστρας Νέων (GYSO), της Orchestre Visionnaire, της Συμφωνικής Ορχήστρας του Κρατικού Ωδείου Θεσσαλονίκης, της MOYSA, καθώς και του Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra Young.
Έχει εμφανιστεί σε σημαντικές αίθουσες συναυλιών και φεστιβάλ, μεταξύ άλλων στο Concertgebouw του Άμστερνταμ, στο Grafenegg Wolkenturm, στο Konzerthaus του Βερολίνου, στο Stadttheater Bozen του Μπολτσάνο, στο Romanian Athenaeum στο Βουκουρέστι, στο Wiener Saal του Mozarteum, στο Μέγαρο Μουσικής Αθηνών και στο Μέγαρο Μουσικής Θεσσαλονίκης κ.α.
Έκανε το σολιστικό της ντεμπούτο σε ηλικία 10 ετών με τη Συμφωνική Ορχήστρα του Δήμου Θεσσαλονίκης στο Μέγαρο Μουσικής Θεσσαλονίκης και επέστρεψε ως σολίστ δύο χρόνια αργότερα, σε ηλικία 12 ετών. Σε ηλικία 16 ετών εμφανίστηκε ως σολίστ με την Ορχήστρα του Κρατικού Ωδείου Θεσσαλονίκης, ενώ τον Οκτώβριο του 2024, σε ηλικία 17 ετών, εμφανίστηκε εκ νέου ως σολίστ στη Weimar της Γερμανίας, στην Stadtkirche St. Peter und Paul. Κατά τη διάρκεια της μέχρι σήμερα πορείας της έχει διακριθεί και έχει λάβει βραβεία σε αρκετούς εθνικούς και διεθνείς διαγωνισμούς.
Το 2021 επιλέχθηκε από τον Maxim Vengerov για να συμμετάσχει σε masterclass του. Έχει επίσης συμμετάσχει σε masterclasses των Daniel Hope, Ingolf Turban, Ulf Hoelscher, Kirill Troussov, Noe Inui, Sibbi Bernhardsson, Almita Vamos, Ben Sayevich και Georgios Demertzis, μεταξύ άλλων.

Έχει επίσης λάβει υποτροφία από το Ίδρυμα Παιδείας και Ευρωπαϊκού Πολιτισμού (IPEP).
Τέλος, της έχει παραχωρηθεί για δύο χρόνια ένα εξαιρετικής ποιότητας γαλλικό βιολί Bernardel του 1852, μέσω του Swiss Instrument Fund.
